Professional artist, Milly Rose, began Fantastic Faces in 2016; but has over a decade’s worth of experience as a practising face painter.

In 2017, she joined the Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme, which enabled her to kick-start her journey as an entrepreneur; and her rise has been nothing short of meteoric ever since.

As part of the programme, Milly was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to train with one of the UK’s top face painters; and with this tutelage under her belt, she has since gone on to become the owner of the largest face painting company in the UK, with 15 payrolled members of staff.

Alongside this, Milly is also a respected painter who specialises in portraiture and large scale wall murals. She has held exhibitions at the Bank Side Gallery, Queens House, Bean and Nothingness, The Brain Jar and The Creative Lab (to name a few).

Her business has been featured in numerous publications and articles (both online and in print), and the BBC even ran a documentary piece on her for their #NoFilter series. Milly and her work have been featured on Look North, Radio Humberside, The Hull Daily Mail, Yorkshire Post, Pick Me Up and Business Works magazine.

In 2018, Milly enrolled in the FEO Ignition programme; designed to offer help to start-up businesses and run by the Community Interest Company (CIC) For Entrepreneurs Only. A few months after the end of the course, she became a full member of the organisation – a network of local businesses who collectively employ over 22,000 people and turn over £3.5bn each year.

A few months after that, she was asked to join their NxGen programme (headed by the non-executive chairman of Arco, Thomas Martin), tasked with supporting enterprise within schools.

In this capacity, Milly has delivered workshops and talks designed to inspire the next generation and help them to realise their own dreams and unleash their full potential.

In 2019, she was awarded a substantial grant by the Princes Trust to help her expand her budding business; and is currently training to become a Young Ambassador for them.

Later that year, she was proud to be honoured with the Prince’s Trust Award for Enterprise in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Her goal is to now become a Young Ambassador for the Trust and help mentor the next generation who want to get into business.
